METEOR SHOWERS
SCHEDULED FOR THURSDAY NITE! YES, WE THINK OF EVERYTHING. Nothing is to good for our East Coast Sturgis Rally goer's.
Just for your viewing pleasure we have pulled a few strings and arranged a real live Meteor shower. One of the first
things folks have always said when first visiting Apple Mountain is that they've never seen so many stars. You know, the clear
skys, no city light pollution thing we got going on around here. The next meteor shower is the Perseids on the night of August 12. The Moon is just
a couple of days past new at the shower's peak, so there will be no moonlight to interfere with the faint meteors. The shower
should reach its peak in the hours after midnight, with a maximum of a few dozen meteors
visible per hour.
How cool is that going to be! Around when the last band finishes, you grab some
brews, chill out wherever you sitting, or laying and get one of natures best light shows! TO
COOL! |
